You don’t have to wait for hours for your tan to develop. You now have the convenience of a rapid deep bronzed tan with the superior quality.

There is no odour during the development process. Shower off your tan at the following times to achieve the result you want.

2-3 hours (light tan)

3-4 hours (medium tan)

4 hours or more (dark tan).

Xen tan does not make your skin go orange, there are no streaks and it does not have an unpleasant odour.

The result you get is a beautiful natural looking olive toned tan. You will achieve a look as if you’d been on holiday in the sun for just over a week. Depending on how well you take care of your spray tan, it usually lasts up to 7 days and fades gradually and evenly.

Before your Spray Tan

• Do not use other self-tanning products for at least 4 days.
• Exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin cells. Get someone to help you with your back!
• Wax or shave 24 hours before your treatment.
• Don’t wear perfume, deodorant, moisturiser or oil as this will stop the tan from working.
• Remove all jewellery.
• Wear loose dark clothing, dark underwear, flip flops or sandals to your treatment. Do not wear jeans, trainers or boots.

The session

• Wear swimwear or underwear if desired.
• Wear black or dark swimwear/underwear, as tan may stain lace & elastic.
• You will be provided with a cap and sticky feet to protect your hair and the soles of your feet.
• You will leave the salon with the colour guide on your body. This is not your tan. The true colour will develop underneath the colour guide. The colour guide leaves practically no staining and washes off easily.

After your Spray Tan

• Do not shower or bathe for at least 8 hours. It is best to sleep in the tan until it develops.
• As tan develops, avoid touching or rubbing your skin.
• Avoid water and any form of exercise to make you sweat.
• Once your tan has fully developed lightly shower to remove the colour guide.
• Too much use of soap will cause your tan to fade quicker.
• Do not use Dove products as they will make your tan streaky!
• Pat dry your skin.
• Avoid swimming, as chlorine can affect your tan.
• Moisturise regularly to maintain your tan for longer.
• Your tan should last up to 7 days; it depends on how well you take care of your skin.
• Spray tanning products do not contain sun protection. You will need to apply this separately.

Spray Tanning Advice for brides

If you are getting married and would like to be spray tanned, it is advisable that you should have your tan done 2 days before your wedding to allow you to get accustomed to your new look! There is also a possibility of the tan rubbing off on your dress. A trial run 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding day is advisable in case of allergies or unexpected results.
